留学生给教授发英文邮件

01邮件标题

很多留学生给教授发英文邮件,随便写个标题就发了,对于你来说可能没什么,但是教授一天要处理大量的英文邮件,所以写一个清晰的标题是很重要的。在标题中,一定要包含你的专业和所在班级,还有你发邮件的主要意图。千万不要写什么“十万火急,请马上回复”之类的标题!

①请假:

Absent+星期/课程(Absent on Tuesday)

②问问题:

Question about xxx(问题主题/课程)

Dissertation Questions

Personal Help with xxx

③约时间

Scheduling a Time/Asking for a Appointment

④申请

Master /PHD Application

⑤奖学金

Enquire about Scholarship

⑥延期

02.称谓+自我介绍

大多数情况下,邮件都要用“Dear Protessor(last name)”来开头,除非教授有特别提醒大家使用他/她偏好的称谓,例如:Dr.(last name)。还有千万不要用“Hey”来开头,也不要用教授的 first name。

①常见问候语

Hope this email finds you well.

②可用于疫情期间问候

I hope you are keeping safe.

③回复老师邮件

Thank you for your reply.

④表达歉意

I apologize for not replying sonner.

⑤自我介绍

My name is xx and l am your student in xxx class.

⑥介绍背景

Professor xx suggested l resch out to you because…….

⑦跟进某事

To follow up on our meeting,……

⑧邮件目的

I am writing to you with regards to ……

03.致谢和落款

结尾可以再次提醒教授来意,表达谢意后委婉落款作结。记得在落款后加上都好,再写自己名字哦~

②致谢

I appreciate a lot for you help and thank you in advance.

③提供信息

Feel free to contact me if you need anything from me.

④Please let me know if you have any further suggestions.

⑤正式落款

04.邮件主要内容

这部分重点也是要简明扼要+礼貌得体,各种情况常用例句如下:

①提出疑问

I have a question about the essay due next Tuesday.

②请求建议

Could you please tell me what to do next?

③I would be grateful if you could give me more time to……

④Might I take a moment of your time to……

⑤At your convenience,could you please……

⑥Our team would really appreciate your insight on……

⑦I’am afraid I need to delay……

⑧I would like to schedule an appointment to talk about……Let me know what time works best for you please.

05.申请当面谈话邮件模板

Subject:Follow up on the exam

Dear Professor xxx:

I am a student in your introduction to Psychology class PSY101.

After getting the results of last week’s exam,I reslized that I am struggling with more than one topic in the course.I want to do my best in this class,and would like to review my exam with you.Is there a time ,we could meet later this week to talk further?

I look forward to you reply.

Subject:inquiry about the requirements of assignment xxx

Dear Prof.xxx:

Good morning!

My name is xxx,and I am a student of your Economics course.I am writing to enquire about the requirement of the assignment1.I wanted to know if there is one fixed referencing style for this course or I can use the one I am familier with.

Also,are there any requirements for the file format?

07.跟进邮件模板

Subject:直接回复上条邮件,无需重新输入标题。

Dear Professor xxx:

I’am writing to follow up on my email I sent earlier this week regarding a question I have about the [name of assignment/exam]

08.合理请假

Subject:Leave of absence request on xx(date)

Dear Professor xx:

I hope this email finds you well.I am xxx and my student number is xxx.I’am currently a student in your class xxx.

I am writing to inform you that I shall be absent from my classes on xxx due to personal reasons.Could I request a leave of absence from you?

I apologize for any inconvenience caused by my resquest.

I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.
